Important results improvement of SONDA in the first half of 2021

July 23, 2021. – SONDA, the main Latin-American IT service network, reported its results for the first half of 2021, where consolidated revenues reached $ 411,659 million equivalent to US$ 565.7 million, EBITDA of $ 52,685 million, equivalent to US$ 72.4 million and Net Profit of $ 17,884 million, equivalent to US$ 24.6 million.

Revenues of the company, in constant currency, increased 19.9% compared to the first half of 2020, with a greater dynamism in Chile, Mexico and OPLA. In these markets revenues increased 34.4%, 5.8% and 10.1%, respectively.

Net Profit of the first half of the year reached $ 17,884 million beating by 741% the figure reported the same period of the previous year.

It should be noted in a special way that the reorganization process carried out in 2020 due to the outbreak of the pandemic, generated important operational and commercial efficiencies that positively influenced the results as of June 30 of this year. This had already been appreciating quarter by quarter since mid-2020.

During the first half of 2021 and in constant currency, the consolidated EBITDA grew by 48.2% and the EBITDA margin reached 12.8%, increasing by 240bp, with improvements achieved in all markets.

In commercial terms, business closings reached US$ 589.5 million, representing a growth of 35.9% compared to the first six months of 2020. New business opportunities (“pipeline”) reached US $ 5,227 million, where Brazil represents 44%.

Referring to these results, SONDA´s CEO, José Orlandini, pointed out that “Despite how Latin America and Chile in particular are being hit by the health crisis, our clients have experienced the need for a greater variety and quality of digital technologies to support their operations, which has allowed us to generate relevant growth in the commercial activity, motivating greater dynamism in revenues and results. Along with this, the measures adopted during 2020 have been decisive in the improvements achieved, which pointed to greater organizational efficiency, verticalization and promotion of technologies that accompany the digital transformation of our clients”. Finally, he mentioned that “we are seeing that economic activity begins to recover, to the extent that the pandemic is affecting the region in a lower degree, which allows us to be more optimistic for the second half of 2021″
